Ludacris Drops Wemix Website

Rapper Ludacris has joined with reality television show creator Matt Apfel to launch a new music community website called Wemix. Designed for unsigned singers, songwriters, rappers, musicians, and producers, the site is unique in that it allows its users to remix tracks that are uploaded by different site members.
Currently focused specifically on the hip hop genre, this site is dedicated to finding new artists and helping them establish themselves within the industry. The site also will allow producers and record labels to seek out new talent with the simple click of a mouse button.
According to Apfel, there are 57,000 original songs on the site now and it boasts 37,000 registered users. Those numbers should increase as Ludacris continues to promote the venture. After a recent pimp on E! Online, the site experienced over 300,000 hits.
