I’m a big Guitar Hero fan. Not so much because I enjoy playing the game, but because I love what it is doing for rock and roll music as a whole. The latest edition of the game comes out Sunday and it features the band Aerosmith.
Appropriately named Guitar Hero Aerosmith, this new game chronicles the super groups rise to legendary heights. According to recent Nielsen SoundScan data, this should help the band’s sales and lead to new interest in the group. The group previously experienced a tremendous sales boost for their song “Same Old Song and Dance” after it appeared in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
According to a recent New York Times article, the game features life-like imagery and near perfect replication of the band’s trademark moves thanks to new technology that enabled Neversoft’s designers to mimic the band.
Although I’m not the biggest Aerosmith fan, I’m looking forward to this one. I’m hoping that the Guitar Hero franchise continues to blossom. I can’t wait to see a Foo Fighters Guitar Hero.

Actress Angelina Jolie has finally found success on the silver screen, but she has never had a true box office blockbuster until now. Her latest film Wanted scored big box office numbers, earning over $55.1 million in its first weekend of release.
Jolie has taken on a number of action and adventure roles, but none have had the success of her latest character “Fox.” Wanted proved to be what the audience wanted, giving Wanted the biggest R-rated June opening in history and earning It the sixth spot on the all-time R-rated release list.
My wife and I went and saw it. I’m not going to spoil it for anyone. It thought the film was alright. It was neither good nor bad in my opinion. My wife really liked it. She thought it was directed differently than most action films and she thought is wasn’t as predictable as other films in the genre. That’s a hell of a compliment coming from my wife as she tends to dislike violent films.
As for Jolie’s performance, she was pretty damn hot. She undoubtedly has the ninja-sex kitten role down pat and she displays her tattooed beauty throughout the film. Although sometimes she is typecast into similar roles, Jolie’s performance comes off as believable in this action-packed flick.
