Ghandi Festival in Nevada

On July 26, 2008, there is a special tribute to one of the world’s legendary figures is being celebrated in Reno. Held in honor of Mahatama Ghandi , the festival will feature drummers, fire spinners, artists, health and organic food chefs, yoga teachers, DJs, and sustainable living advocates will get together to reflect on the messages of a true pacifist.

 

Acclaimed Indo-American leader Rajan Zed will be the keynote speaker and will present a speech on Ghandi’s life and philosophies. The festival will be held at the River School Reno, the event runs until two in the morning, so there is plenty of time to get out and enjoy the festivities.

 

This is a spectacular idea. We need more Ghandi’s in the world.

Don’t Give Up

If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell.

The human mind is the strongest thing on the planet if it is focused on a particular goal.

 

People have accomplished feats that are considered astonishing by us many of us simply because they believed they could do it. Don’t doubt your abilities and continue to test your limits no matter how difficult things become.

 

You can survive sickness. You can get over a break-up. You can tackle life’s troubles if you keep the car in drive and keep on trucking down the road. Don’t stop for a second once you get going. Put your head down and go after what’s moving you. Nothing can stop you when you want it badly enough.

 

What choice do you really have? Giving up should no longer be an option for you. You may not accomplish everything at once, but if you continue taking steps in the direction of your goal, you will get there eventually. Don’t ever think that you can’t achieve your goals. You can’t be stopped when your very being demands that you turn your dreams into reality.

 

If you go after what you want with the knowledge that it is you, and you alone, that creates your experiences, you eventually begin to start dictating the way your experience unfolds. Virtually any reality you can imagine can in one way or another become real if you use your full faculties to try and achieve your goals.

 

There is a saying that if you shoot for the moon and don’t make it, at least you land in the stars. This theory also rings true when it comes to living the way we want. If you don’t try to follow your goals, you’ll never come close to making them a reality. You can’t be afraid to fail either. Many times people are afraid to take a chance because things have gone wrong before and this keeps them from reaching their “moon.” I don’t know about you, but I would rather know that I laid my soul on the line and took a chance at happiness than shy away from a challenge because of the past.

 

Become like a heat-seeking missile and don’t stop pushing until you’ve hit your mark. Remember that not everything happens at once, but things will begin to improve with each you take towards your goal. You build momentum as you continue on and eventually, life will move like a tidal wave under your footsteps and give you what you desire.

Lil’ Wayne is One Smart Guy

Currently riding the monster success of his recent release “Tha Carter III,” Lil Wayne has decided to sign on to create a new kind of champagne called “Halo.” Featuring four different flavor variations, including Halo Brut, Halo Brut Vintage, Halo Rose, and Halo Pinnacle, Wayne’s new brand of bubbly could make him a mint.

 

At 25, Lil Wayne has some-what proven himself to be a shrewd businessman and if he continues to find success as a rapper, he could easily make his brand of champagne a “household” name. Personally, I’m not a fan of champagne, so it would be hard to convince me to pop a bottle of Halo, but who knows, maybe I’ll meet up with Lil Wayne at TAO one night and we’ll spilt a case or two….lol.
