50 Cent vs Taco Bell
Posted by djocean on July 25, 2008
50 Cent is constantly in the news and his latest altercation is once again drawing a lot of attention. The rapper is suing Taco Bell. Yes, you read that right, 50 Cent is suing Taco Bell. Insert your own jokes here.
Apparently a recent Taco Bell ad “encouraged” 50 to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent, or 99 Cent for Taco Bell’s new promotional campaign. Now it is 50 who is crying, “Where is the beef,” suing the fast food chain for a cool $4 million.
According to Taco Bell, they sent a letter to the star offering a $10,000 donation to charity in his name for use of his rights, but 50’s lawyer denies any knowledge of such a letter.
Personally, I think 50 should just drop his beef and get with the taco giant and create a new taco series with his name on it. He could have his own line..think about it….you could get the 50 Cent Four-Alarm Fire, the 50 Cent Flamer, or 50’s Bulletproof Taco.

Glastonbury Tickets To Go On Sale In October
Posted by djocean on July 25, 2008
The Glastonbury Festival is once again getting a good jump on the 2009 summer concert festival landscape by offering first-com, first-serve ticket sales beginning in the first week of October 2008. Possibly one of the most anticipated music gatherings of the year, there is always a battle to get tickets to this monster party.
Despite having found huge success with this year’s big acts, including controversial act Jay-Z, Glastonbury co-founder Michael Eavis has stated he will not try to book another “controversial” act for next year’s headlining spot. In a recent statement to BBC News, Eavis said that he would book more traditional acts in order to ease the stress of the event. Apparently ticket sales were sluggish in the beginning and it weighed heavily on the people behind the scenes.
