The Rolling Stones Speak the Universal Language

1960s super-group The Rolling Stones are back in the headlines again, this time for signing a new label deal with Vivendi’s Universal Music. This long-term deal will see the Stones releasing new material on Universal’s label Polydor.
Although the Stones were courted by recent challenger Live Nation, the aging rockers decided to go with the world’s biggest music company. The same label that released the soundtrack to Martin Scorsese’s “Shine a Light,” which featured live concert footage from a Stones show at the Beacon Theatre, Universal now holds the worldwide rights to release Stones material.
I can’t believe these guys are still rocking after all this time. It just goes to show that there is life after the party.
