Rolling Stone Moves with the Times and Changes Format

I grew up reading this magazine and I have always been a fan. This is a shrewd move that will cut costs and make the magazine easier to stock for newstands. gIn one sense, I’m happy to see the change. I’ve had to throw away numerous Rolling Stones (especially when flying), because I had no where to put them. I would have definitely held onto them had I had some space at the time. On the other hand, the old Rolling Stone issues were comforting, because you could always see them towering above the other magazines in the rack.
Life moves on and I guess we’ll all just have to deal with the new format regardless of our feelings on the subject. You can’t blame the people at Rolling Stone either, the magazine industry has been getting crushed in the last two years and a lot of the recent changes we are seeing is a result in the monstrous decrease of advertising dollars.
