Will Twilight Suck The Blood Out of the Box Office?

The romantic vampire flick Twilight has been the talk of Hollywood as of late. Set for a big box office weekend, the film is capitalizing on a recent wave of vampire films and television series. In fact, the trend has become so prominant that the creators of South Park did a hilarious episode last night about goth kids versus the new vampire trend. The episode also saw Butters try to turn himself into a vampire. Pretty funny stuff.

Anyway, there is a lost of hope being pinned on this flick by its studio Summit Entertainment. The group is praying that the ten flick will find an audience and give the indie organization a franchise vehicle. I’m not sure if it will work, but if it does, this could become one of the more successfull flicks of the year.
